Write a personal narrative about a time when you did something that was very important to you.
A personal narrative tells a sotry about an important experience in the writer's life and how it made the writer feel.
- Begin with something to draw readers in.
- Present events in a logical order.
- Use dialogue, descriptions, and pacing to make the experience come alive.
- End by telling why the experience was important to you.
Revise your draft. Does your writing sound like you? If not, add language and expressions that make your own voice come through. Have you included transition words to help readers follow the events? Did you use concrete and sensory details? How can you strengthen your opening and conclusion?
